Sodium hyaluronate: lubricating agent.
EDTA: helps remove calcium deposits.
Polyhexanide: preservative (multidose only).
PROPERTIES OF SODIUM HYALURONATE
Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural biopolymer found in the vitreous humor of the human eye. It has a high water-retention capacity, making it an excellent humectant. Bioadhesive and mucomimetic properties: it adheres to the mucous layer of tears, creating a resistant layer that prevents evaporation. Viscoelastic properties: it combines the elastic properties of a solid with the viscous properties of a liquid.
